Hello! I’m Hannah, and if you’ve found your way to this page, welcome to Musings & Wanderings!
Part lifestyle, part literature, Musings & Wanderings is all the things I love in one place.
•A Little About Me•
I’m a twenty something (let’s not talk about my actual age) West Australian who currently calls Sydney home. During the day, I work in my dream career of publishing, and at night I moonlight as a part time university student studying a Bachelor of Communications and Creative Writing through Open Universities. In a previous life, I worked at the front desk of a hotel #thestoriesicouldtell.
Literature has been a part of my life since…well, forever. It’s a natural extension of who I am – wherever there is me, there are books. I’m that person who goes to a bar or to a party and brings a book. It’s a rare occasion that you’ll find me without a book in hand, or bag, ready to go.
My other obsession is travel. If books are my right arm, travel is the left. After high school, I obtained a Diploma in Travel & Tourism – only because my parents put their foot down at me moving to London at seventeen. Once that was under my belt, I left home at nineteen and moved to Edinburgh, Scotland and never looked back. Once there, Europe was my playground – sort of. I didn’t travel as much as I had wanted to, but I got something else instead: I lived. I got to experience things I never would have if I’d stayed in Australia on the finish high school-go to university-get a job route. But I’m getting ahead of myself – we’ll talk about that more another day.
After three years in the most beautiful city in the world, I moved back to Australia, with the aim to go to university in the hopes of getting into publishing. Six years later, and I’m still trying to obtain that elusive degree, but I’m getting paid to do what I love and thats one aspect of my life in which I couldn’t be happier.
